Blugre Coffee: Not Just a Cup of Coffee. . .

Founded in 1998, Blugre Coffee had withstand the test of time. Indeed, they were the pioneer and leading coffee shop in Davao and the coming of heavy competitions did not leave them behind. In fact, Blugre Coffee persisted in innovating, expanding and even franchising where they had Mindanao's pride, Manny Pacquiaio, to be their master franchisee.

They now have 6 branches in Davao namely: Landco, MTS, SM Davao, SM Lanang, Gaisano Mall and Abreeza; and 2 in General Santos City: Robinson's and at SM City GenSan.

"We are not just a cup of coffee; we are a global brand, a lifestyle and a brand that gives back!"

This was shared by none other than Ms. Joanne Siy, VP for Operations, in the social media gathering held 2 weeks ago.

Blugre has indeed conquered the Metr0 and lived up to being the genuine King of Coffees in Mindanao. Imagine Davao without Blugre, then you'll get a lacking Mindanao coffee lifestyle.

True to Ms. Siy's statement Blugre will now be a global brand for their planning to expand not just in Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, Bacolod, Dumaguete, Manila, Makati, Ortigas, Calamba, Pampanga and Baguio but also as far as Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Toronto, Adeleide, Las Vegas and Paris.

That's a lot to look forward to and it's such a great step for Davao's pride. It's something Not just the Blugre company, but us Dabawenyos should be proud of.

As a few huge steps to this globalization, Blugre just opened in Tagum last February 22 and it'll be brewing at the Davao Doctor's college branch this coming 28th of February.

Another update: They have an on-going photo contest running up until March 31, 2013.

Human Nature Magalogue Turnover

Behold the Jan-Feb issue of Human Nature's magalogue (magazine/catalogue). Its turnover was held at Plaza del Carmen Loyola St. Obrero, Davao City last 19th of January. To tell you the truth, I've known the brand for so long but I don't even have a first hand experience with it. So let me introduce it to you while introducing it for myself as well. Haha!

Human Nature is a 100% Filipino brand that offers natural and organic personal care and make up products. Actually, in their turnover that I attended, they have just launched and introduced a new set of products: Tough Love.

Tough Love is composed of Tough Love Natural Dish Washing Liquid and Tough Love 100% Natural Liquid Detergent. Doesn't it surprise you that fabric softener and even dish washing liquid has a new ingredient called Vitamin E in their  packaging? They are indeed harmful for the skin as much as they are harmful to bacteria.  It's the exact reason why you get that scaly dry hands after doing the laundry or even after washing the dishes.

Homemakers, house helpers and even I need not to worry after handling the laundry or the dishes. These products

Php 299.75
I remember that my mother used to pick a detergent that smells good hence she chooses fragrant detergents for our clothes. Unfortunately, these synthetic scents may cause discoloration specifically in white clothes or linens. This causes her to buy bleach for a bright white effect on the laundry but then again it can make the clothes dry and crisp so she would need a fabric conditioner. It's a never ending chain of consumption and a never ending use of chemicals which isn't good for the skin. This Tough Love detergent is mild for our skin and it doesn't have harmful chemicals.
Php 89.75
Another good product of Tough Love is their liquid dish washing soap. It's tough on grease but gentle on hands. What I like about these is its citrus smell. I can't wait to post my sponsored review of this product.

In addition for this quarter's new set of Human Nature products, they also have:

Pure Strength Deodorant
Php 89.75

Natural Shampoo
Cool Peppermint Scent
Php 44.75 (50ml)
Php 129.75 (200ml)
All Natural Spray Sanitizer - Tropical Burst
Php 59.75 (50ml)
Php 189.75 (200ml)

Fellow Davao Bloggers :)
If your skin is delicate and sensitive and you want to give it the best care possible, you definitely need these organic and natural products at your home.

Godiva Beauty Journey (+ Giveaway Winners)

I have earlier shared that Godiva had just launched their new set of products here in Davao (at this post) and this time let me share their beauty journey that I have experienced.

The launching was well attended. It was graced by the presence of Godiva products endorser, Jessica Kienle, a Swiss/Pinay pride. The audience and guests were also entertained, treated with FREE beauty services (hand massage, make up, skin consultation. . .) and free snacks as well. If I may speak for all attendees, I must say that it was a well spent afternoon.

These were the delightful snacks served and prepared by Peri-Peri. Yummy! I also grabbed the opportunity to get my picture taken with Jessica Kienle. Oh! So pretty! She's like a doll and she's more gorgeous in person :)
How can I miss to have a picture with their endorser? :)

And now for the Godiva products I owe you. . .
Congratulations to Kimberly C., Vidalyn, D., Jamaica D. and  Corinne, F..
I will send you an e-mail guys.
To all who joined my giveaway, thank you.

Gray Areas

Talk about who's been in a hiatus for a week and I swore that I'm guilty. It has been a series of requirements to accomplish for my last semester in college. I've been spending the past week at school, coffee shops and anywhere that I may be able to work.

My thesis co-workers and I have been busy editing, proofreading and drafting the 4th and 5th chapter of the study. Fortunately, we made it through our mock defense yesterday. At last, we can be at peace while waiting for our final defense. Moreover, we would be having ample time to do the necessary revisions needed.

Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Metallic Tote bag
I know that we've been really loose on handling the paper but as everything comes to an end easily, we're being pressured and suddenly we wanted to do our best. You see, I wasn't really this lax type as a student and in fact I ought to strive very hard in everything academic-related when I was younger.

However, college life can be stressful. I realized that I can comply with my school works but still have a life. I want to sleep, have fun and do something else. Don't get me wrong. I have my studies prioritized above everything else; I just don't want it to get all of my attention.

Kimono Cardigan: Gift from Lola
In all fairness, with me trying to juggle a lot of activities (school, extra-curricular, work, blogging and relationship) I've learned and experienced so much that there's nothing to regret. In the future, I may look back and say that I have lived my college life completely well minus that Latin honors. At lease, I've been a consistent Dean's Lister and that's something to be proud of.

Cross Charm: Php 25 Gaisano Mall
I'm not a diligent student but I'm not a bum as well. It's not just black or white there are gray areas as well. I'm so ready to open a new phase in my life and I'm going to experience it with me being neither at the extreme ends of something or at either black or white. I want to immerse in the gray areas - - -or shall I say colorful?

Thongs: Thrifted :)
I'm leaving now with this OOTD (segway, haha) and something to burst your thought bubble.
What are your thought? Plans? Expectations? Experiences?
I hope your considering to explore your gray areas.

Oh! and please join my ongoing giveaway:

Resolutions No More: 2013 Goals

I'm done and over with the dramatic 2012 but I must say I have a good head start for 2013. I have had a tainted relationship with my mother but everything was already patched up.

Don't you just feel that I'm a bit more jolly in these photos? I'm more that glad to embrace the whole of 2013 with personal accomplishments an NOT changes.

For several years, I've been jotting down my New Year's resolutions hoping that the bad behaviors, attitudes, perspective etc. . . may change. In contrary, they NEVER happen.

I'm NOT hopeless though. I just realized that these resolutions might have been cliches already. Just like Santa, Easter bunny of Sandman . . . they're their to serve us our hope
that things may actually change.

As I mature, I realize that they won't. The resolutions I had when I was in grade school is the same as what I've had in high school and in the first few years of being an under graduate student.

Things like: I'll be a better person, I will stop eating junk foods, I will be a good daughter/son/brother/worker, I'll study harder and get good grades.

These are the same resolutions I had over and over again.

They can be personally deceptive. They're like theories without actualization and so this year I did not wrote than a list of 'resolutions' but I came up with a list of activities I WILL accomplish this year :)

Things I Must Do/Accomplish in 2013?

  1. Say YES to a healthy lifestyle
    - and with that I did not just lessen junk food and fatty food intake but I'm pro-veggies and I try to drink as much water as I can.
  2. Learn how to Drive
    - My first step in knowing the basics was taken care of my boyfriend. I'm excited to be on the driver's seat a few months from now.
  3. Join a pageant "again"
    - I am NOT getting any younger. I repeat, I am NOT getting any younger. There are opportunities in life that just can't wait that long. This is a good step to take while I am still young.
  4. Have my OWN domain
    - Writing with passion and without pressure is a lot easier. I enjoy blogging and sharing random thoughts. I thinks this'll be a personal gift for myself after graduation.
  5. Visit Boracay/Palawan/Cebu
    - I can't miss these places. I can't be roaming the streets abroad without witnessing the beauty in my very own country.
  6. Have/Start my OWN business.- I just decided to put my money in something that can be productive and NOT in my closet. Saving for a rainy day is fun :)
  7. Be a flight attendant
    - Who doesn't want to be? Besides, I enjoy being at the service of people. I'm flying soon - - - Cathay Pacific.
  8. Attend Bloggers United and Philippine Fashion Week
    - Staying at Davao hindered me from doing these but once I'm back in Manila, no one's stopping me.
  9. Repay
    - This could have been my first goal but I need a lot of working to do to be able to pay those who have made my education possible. This'll be a lifetime commitment. Thanks for my parents and uncles who sent me to school (I really hope they can read this). Grateful lass here!
  10. Be a part of Manila's blogging community
    - Who wouldn't want too? Almost all the people who inspired me to blog is in Manila. I can't wait to interact with them :)
  11. Organize a reunion
    - I think what I've learned in the events management class must be put into good personal use. I just love get togethers :)
  12. House and lot hunting
    - Do you think I'm taking it too fast? NO! The best investment I can possibly have is the assurance of a great life with a great home.

Maybe I should start combing my hair.

I have a bright future ahead of me. I am so excited to graduate :)
    What are your 2013 goals?
    Share it with me :)
